Just Clearing My Phone

Just some pictures of things I've made. They'll get scattered as gifts and kids' "I want this one" things, so I'm just keeping a few pictures as proof that I'm really quite productive sometimes.

Pink and brown blankie and hat. Not my pattern.

I actually have no idea what pattern this is from. That middle flower is not my design... The rest is just scraps of like colors.

Basic granny around a central floral motif. When I first got started again, I thought making a motif afghan would be cool. I soon learned I didn't have the patience for it. The squares lazed around for awhile until I decided to make small blankies from them.

I think this is the one above, all grown up.

A set of four motifs, surrounded by a pattern from a favorite site.

Just a basic granny with many color changes.

A collection of a week's work.

Same idea, different color changes.

The bigger version.

Teeny baskets, because why not.

Trying my hand at that "messy, organic, live free" style crochet. I'm not really a fan of it, come to find out. The finished piece is actually quite pretty, but it really grated on my nerves to have such a lack of symmetry. :) But it is pretty.

This leans much more toward my color palette. Love gray.

A friend of mine actually wanted this by the time I was done. Just me trying to keep busy.

My Wisconsin Blanket! I went to WI on a road trip with my mom this summer. Long hours in a car pass just as slowly as long hours at work, so I found some clearance yarn at Walmart and started hooking. The first and only afghan I've ever kept for myself. I love it! Reminds me of that trip. :)

Simple headband. Two strands of Caron One Pounder held together, 7 dc for I think 26 rows. Warm, easy, works up really quickly, popular colors. (Our local team is maroon and white; college is of course crimson and cream.)

Closed granny squares. This project actually got out of control. It was meant to be one thing, which didn't work, and turned into a massive ordeal that included lots of ends, lots of sewing together, and then lots more ends from the sewing. It's quite pretty, though, in the finished product.
Thinking I was done. Also, in dire need of cleaning my camera lens. That's not a soft-edge effect. That's just my camera.

Finally done. 22 small squares, 2 large, plus the border. Fun fact: the sides match in opposite. For instance, an all white block had a corresponding all purple block on the other side.

A little monster from the leftovers. The gray is hard to distinguish from the purple, but it's in there. My sides are messy, but that's just too bad at this point.

What's here? 4 or 5 hats, a headband, a purse, a little owl, no idea what the big maroon thing is... See? This is why I need things documented!

A fairly flat crocheted tray. Honestly, it was probably meant to be a hat that I got bored with.

A friend's request. She was taking pictures with her soon-to-be one year old. "Can you make a shirt?" she asked. "Sure," I said. Did you know there are no clean, simple shirt patterns that are free? So, I used my headband experience and just kept going up. If it turns out it worked well (the pictures aren't in yet), then I'll probably start a whole series of shirts. They're quite fun and quick.

Another friend's request (KC). Since she's my one fan, I tried my hand at it. This is just a simple 33 stitch around, front post treble at stitch 11 and 22.
