"Crochet Cable" Stitch, version 2

I just showed you how I mutilated this pretty stitch until it worked for me. If you followed that link, you probably noticed that I completely removed a row. This is how it works if you want to keep that row.

Row 3: single crochet around

Really. That's it. What difference does it make?
-*-It breaks up the line created by the crossed stitch.
-*-The "cable" part feels more textured.
-*-In my opinion, it looks busier.
-*-The fabric created is denser.
Here, the bottom three rows are version 1, the top four are version 2.

A closer look at the stitch. Also a closer look at my psycho handwriting.

Personally, I prefer the look without the sc break. That's my personal opinion. It makes things look disconnected. For the record, I was never able to get my clusters to line up perfectly like the site's. Mine were always offset, but I like it. If *you* want them to line up... fiddle away, my friend! :)
