Hints of Things to Come

I have another post waiting in the wings, but it's taking more time than I thought for it to come together properly. After more than a week away, I want to have a right proper post for y'all. That was way too Southern for me... I'm not deleting it, though.

I haven't been able to document each step of the way, but I have been busy with both concerts and yarn. Even together, as I tend to crochet on the way to such things. This is where I admit that I am most usually a passenger. I don't know why that is (no, I don't have a crazy weird traffic record). In any event, I need to post about a couple of concerts and quite a few patterns that I need out of my head and onto some sort of record.

Here is my elf hat/sleep hat, version 1.
Because we know I can't stop at just one version.

A squiggle hat. I know, it's useless, but it's almost cute.
Actually, I've been thinking since I made this that it would be cute to do as a pumpkin top or a leafy top for a fairy or something. I'm sure I'll work one up soon.

I'm torn between "Louisiana Saturday Night" bag to denote when it was started
or "TriState" bag since it's so huge.
But I love it because it is so massive and purple and pink and happy looking.

Ah, and here we have version 2. The tube is wider and the change from tube to hat is a lot smoother. This looks to be the seam shot, which is still not too bad. This one also has a simple brim/edge on it that the first one lacks.

My Thunder hat to celebrate the new season. My camera reacts oddly to neon.

I don't know why this looks so subdued because it nearly killed my eyes. It's Red Heart yellow and it's super bright and ugh. This is my attempt to get a hat for Little Miss M that would actually fit. And every little girl needs a hard hat, you know.

My friend Amanda decided she wanted some crocheted goodies, so she went on a Hobby Lobby spree and bought 8-9 skeins of neon, ivory, and brown. I got tired of Making Things, so I played with this basic beanie. It should've had purple in it, too, but I miscalculated.

Have I mentioned - I hate PIECEWORK! The things I do for friends.
This is Owl Two of at least four. I finished one and have two more (including this one) that just needs the bits sewn on/together. I haven't made myself do it yet because... I hate piecework!!

Ahhhhh.... much better. This is my view, without zoom, on my crappy phone from the Tulsa show. In fact, I know the song. This is "Little Bit of Everything."

Remember my flight of fancy? This was the result. Floor seats in Louisiana. More on that later, though.

Our seats were at the very back of the arena. Those unfamiliar with his show would've been bummed, but I knew better! This is again from my phone. Note that there's only one row of people in front of me. :)

I will get full patterns posted and maybe even some new pictures with them. I'll also get a concert review or two posted, but that'll probably have to wait a minute. For now, I must get ready for that four letter word (work, ugh). I just wanted to check in and give a little teaser of things to come. I'm so behind! I owe you, what, now? The little purse, the fire helmet, these hats, the bonnet. Maybe one day I'll get caught up without making something new in the meantime. Ha! One can dream, though.

Thanks for dropping by! Come back any time. :)
